Very thrilled to not only share with you all the release of my sister Blanca's newest album, "Butterfly Core," but her arrival at Uber. She has a huge following at a certain other online social club, and by joining us here she'll be able to flex her visual creativity in ways she couldn't there. Because life is a collaboration, she had a little help from new friend and Uber creative director Rudj Escobar.
Yes, she sings. She paints. She writes and illustrates children's books. She shoots photos and film. She eats cheese. She sculpts and composes music. She does it all.
I've never been one to champion an artist pal
just because she was a pal. Too many creative people in my life, some good, some not, and too little time. And my sister's no exception to the rule. But this new collection of dance songs is irresistible. Her friends Tommy Walter from Eels and Glacier Hiking and Bryce Soderberg from Lifehouse co-produced the album with Blanc. You can even hear Bryce's bass on a few songs and Tommy's instructions on the last track "Rollerskate," an infectious song that is pure summer. Go to her link. Listen. And let me know what you think.
